Obscene Magazine

Obscene Magazine focuses on Southern California entertainment, nightlife and sports. Though the magazine obtained a quick popularity with the printed version of the magazine, they wanted to expand their popularity with an interactive website.

When designing their website several aspects had to be considered. Obscene Magazine wanted to incorporate a digital version of their magazine for people to "flip through" online. They also wanted to host multiple competitions for people to submit photos and receive votes. Additionally, they wanted to have the ability to sell merchandise on their website.

I exceeded their expectations by incorporating all of their requests and including additional features to increase the popularity and use of the website. A mobile version of their website was developed for viewers to follow updates to the site from an iPhone or other smartphone. Their website can also be administered by staff authors and photographers who are able to upload content quicker than waiting for the print version.
